me

I’m prone to existential crises. Possibly because I think about death a lot which makes me think about what it means to be alive. The best answer I have is immersing myself in this world through creation and expression. Art is a survival tactic. But it’s also a means to connect and that’s what I hope to achieve here on my website floating amongst the 1,197,982,359 (and counting) other websites.

I like to think there’s an invisible river called the internet on which all the websites of the world bob along. Evidently, my expertise does not lie in IT. Instead, I have a BA in Fine Art from the Michaelis School of Fine Art, at the University of Cape Town, where I majored in painting and sleeping on studio floors. After graduating in 2016, I dedicated my time to bookbinding and worked at a Book and Flat Paper Conservation studio, where I learnt a wealth of knowledge about bookbinding. I have slowly returned to my artistic practice and now enjoy integrating it with my love of bookbinding.

Presently I bounce between Boulder, Colorado, and Cape Town, South Africa, carving out sanctuaries of creation in both places.
